The answer is false because the bacteriostatic properties of betadine cannot eliminate the need for friction in wound care for in order the wound to heal; a friction is needed for faster healing of cells within the wound. Moreover, betadine is an anti-septic and use to maintain dry ulcers that are not expected to heal or for which moist wound healing is contraindicated.
