Explanation:

Japan actually used and picked some it's alphabet from other Asian countries such as China, and Korea when a emperor from japan visited china for the first time he loved their writing so much he engraved it into japans language most Kanji, Katakana that you see is used in Chinese too so in theory if you know some Chinese then you may know quite a bit of Japanese.
