Answer: x= -2,y=6

Step-by-step explanation:

4x+y= -2......equation 1

3x+2y=6.....equ2

Y= -2-4x........equation 3

Substitute equation 3 into 2

3x+2(-2-4x)=6

Open the bracket

3x+(-4-8x)=6

3x-4-8x=6

3x-8x=6+4

-5x=10

X= 10/-5

X= -2

Substitute for x in equation 1

4x+y= -2

4(-2)+y= -2

-8+y= -2

Y= -2+8

Y=6

Therefore, x= -2 & y=6
