How did slavery contribute to the growth and wealth of the U.S.?

Once the slaves were freed they began to work in factories and do many other important jobs. When they worked in the factories they made cars and many other profitable items, then the factories began to grow because more people were investing their money in the thing that the slaves are making at the factories. So the US became more wealthy and had a huge growth. Hope this helps you!!
