Without photosynthesis, the carbon cycle could not occur,  life would not survive and plants would die.

Photosynthesis is essential to life on Earth because it is the most important source of Oxygen in the atmosphere. It’s also important because all producers make oxygen and sugar for the secondary consumers and then the carnivores eat animals that consume plants.
