How do I give credit to others when utilizing or referencing their written or spoken words and ideas?

Answer:

You would use "quote symbols" to show you are using someone else's words or ideas. Then you would put their name before or after. For example: "Whatever you are, be a good one" Abraham Lincoln. Or: Abraham Lincoln once said, "Whatever you are, be a good one"
