In relation to biomedical science, it is considered important taking a precise measurements when investigating a case because this would serve as the proof or basis of the validity of the results found in the case. In addition, precise measurements are essential  in crime scene investigation because this would be the measurements you are going to use in order to arrive an accurate case. Hope this helps.
