[tex] \frac{MN}{NP} = \frac{4}{5} \\ [/tex]

[tex]MP = 26 - 8[/tex]

[tex]MP = 18[/tex]

[tex]MP \div (4 + 5) = 18 \div (4 + 5)[/tex]

[tex] \frac{MP}{9} = \frac{18}{9} \\ [/tex]

[tex] \frac{MP}{9} = 2 \\ [/tex]

Thus;

[tex]MN = 2 \times 4[/tex]

[tex]MN = 8[/tex]

and

[tex]NP = 2 \times 5[/tex]

[tex]NP = 10[/tex]

So the location of N is :

[tex]N = 8 + 8 \: \: or \: \: N = 26 - 10[/tex]

[tex]N = 16[/tex]
