Discuss the difference between the following terms: control group, independent variable, and dependent variable.

An independent variable is something that doesn’t have to rely on the dependent variable (it stands alone). The dependent variable needs something to rely on. A control group is the cause and effect of the independent and dependent variable.
control group:people not exposed. people with placebo. being used for comparison

independent variable: thing being tested

dependent variable: outcome of study
