The midpoint is:

[tex]m=(\frac{x_1+x_2}{2},\frac{y_1+y_2}{2})[/tex]

replacing:

[tex]m=(\frac{-9-4}{2},\frac{7+2}{2})=(\frac{-13}{2},\frac{9}{2})[/tex]

The midpoint of the segment is:

[tex](-6.5,4.5)[/tex]
