Explain the difference between the solution to an equation and the solution to an inequality.

A solution to an equation is the definite answer, the solution to a problem. (ex. 2+2=4, and 4 is the solution to an equation.) A solution to an inequality is the answer to the question if the two amounts are equal or not equal.
