Cody baked 12 muffins.he keeps 6 muffins. How many muffins can he give to each of his 6 friends if each friend gets the same number of muffins?

I think that the answer is 1 for each because 12-6=6 then divide it by 6 (of his friends) and the answer is 1 each.

Cody baked 12 muffins and he keeps 6 muffins, so he has now only 6 muffins.
That is why we do the division 6:6=1 àn each his friend gets 1 muffin.
